Kim Kardashian has stated in an interview with Andy Cohen on the latter’s talk show, ‘What Happens Live’, that she rushed into her marriage to Kris Humphries after panicking about turning 30.
The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star’s ill-fated second marriage to the basketball player ended after just 72 days back in 2011.
The split played out on the family’s reality show and spin-off, Kourtney and Kim Take New York, and during the interview, Kim opened up about the circumstances that led up to the marriage.
She said:
“I just thought, ‘Holy s***, I’m 30 years old, I better get this together. I better get married.
“I think a lot of girls do go through that where they freak out thinking they’re getting old and have to figure it out, all their friends are having kids. It was more of that situation.”
According to her, she knew the marriage was not going to last when they were on honeymoon and eventually, Kim and Kris split after only 72 days.
Kim had originally been asked by a member of the audience which of her family’s spin off shows she liked the least.
The 36-year-old, who is now happily married to Kanye West, decided not to speak about any of her relatives efforts, and chose one of her own instead.
