It is a sad news as the world mourns the death of one of the biggest names in Bollywood (Indian movie Industry), Sridevi Kapoor who was first reported to have died from drowning in her bathtub on Saturday February 24, 2018.
A new postmortem report has been released and it shows that Sridevi did not die from a cardiac arrest as earlier reported but rather died from drowning in a bathtub in Dubai. Due to this latest report the case has been closed and her body has been flown to Inda to commence funeral rights.
According to the BBC , “due to accidental drowning following loss of consciousness. She was found in a hotel bathtub. It had earlier been reported that she died of cardiac arrest while at a family wedding in Dubai.

She has acted in several movies and her last and 300th movie Mom was released in 2017 and was a smash boxoffice hit.
Sridevi died at the age of 54 and is survived by a husband and two daughters.

Dubai Public Prosecution stressed that all regular procedures followed in such cases have been completed. As per the forensic report, the death of the Indian actress occurred due to accidental drowning following loss of consciousness. The case has now been closed.
