Social media is another yardstick in measuring the success of a celebrity in this modern dispensation which explains the frenzy over ‘followers’ on social media platforms as at today.

After critical research, Stargist.com presents this list of the 20 most followed Nigerian celebrities on Instagram.

1. Davido: 5.2 Million Followers

Davido, DMW frontline act, is currently Nigeria’s most followed celebrity on Instagram, with five million followers.

2. Wizkid: 4.2 Million Followers

Wizkid’s real name is Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun. He is also a Nigerian recording artist, songwriter, performer, the owner of Star Boy label, which houses music artists, such as:- Mr Eazi, and R2Bees

3. Funke Akindele: 3.9 Million Followers

4. Tiwa Savage: 3.8 Million Followers

Tiwatope Savage-Balogun better known by her stage name Tiwa Savage, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, performer under Mavins label, and an actress.

5. Don Jazzy: 3.5 Million Followers

Michael Collins Ajereh known as Don Jazzy, is a Nigerian record producer, singer-songwriter and musician. He has been the chief executive officer of Mo’ Hits Records and is the current chief executive officer of Mavin Records.

 6. Peter Okoye: 3.2 Million Followers

Peter Okoye is one of the Nigerian musical duo of identical twin brothers with the stage name P-Square.

7. Patoranking:- 3.2 Million Followers

11. Korede Bello: 2.7 Million Followers

19. Tuface Idibia: 2.5 Million Followers 

Innocent Ujah Idibia, better known by his stage name 2face Idibia, or 2Baba, is a Nigerian singer-songwriter, record producer and entrepreneur. He officially discontinued the use of the name Tuface and selected 2baba or Tu-baba as his stage name.
