Chioma Chukwuka Akpotha is a Nollywood actress who recently joined the world of producers with her debut flick, On Bended Knees.

Early Life

Chioma was born on the 12th of March, 1980, in Lagos state Nigeria to chief and Mrs Leonard Ndukaife Chukwuka in Oraifite, Ekwusigo Local Government Area, Anambra State. She completed her primary education at Onward Nursery and Primary School in Lagos State, and then proceeded to Federal Government Girls College in Onitsha, Anambra State for her secondary education. She then headed to Lagos State University where she studied Banking and Finance.

Career

The prolific actress began her acting career with her participation in the film The Apple in 2000. Chioma appeared in a handful of movies shot between 2004 and 2006. She has since starred in over 80 Nollywood movies.

Relationship

She got married to Franklyn Akpotha in 2006 and the union has produced 2 kids. But till date, nothing is known about her husband and children whom she has kept out of the limelight.

Controversies

The happily married actress is one of the very few scandal-free thespians the entertainment industry can boast of.

Endorsements

In 2010, Chioma signed a lucrative deal with Nigerian Telecoms giant Globacom.

In 2011, she also became a brand ambassador for Harpic for a whopping sum of $50,000.

In 2016, She also became an ambassador for Women Arise Group where she was honoured at Lagos State House Of Assembly by Speaker Hon Mudashiru Obasa.

Awards And Nominations

In 2007, Chioma Chukwuka won Best actress in a leading role at the Africa Movie Academy Awards.

In 2014, she was nominated for Brand Ambassador of the year at the ELOY awards.
