Entertaining Photos From 2017 BET Awards In Los Angeles

The 2017 BET Awards was held on June 25, 2017, at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. The ceremony celebrated achievements in entertainment and honors music, sports, television, and movies released between April 1, 2016 and March 31, 2017.

The nominees were announced on May 15, 2017; Beyoncé leads the nominations with 7, followed by Bruno Mars with 5. Beyoncé won the most awards.

The show was hosted by Leslie Jones. In her opening monologue, the 49-year-old Saturday Night Live actress joked about how rappers back in the day had names that described who they are, but today’s rappers have names that don’t fit that description.

The BET Awards not only honor music – the show also gives out awards for Best Actress, Best Actor, Best Movie, and awards for athletes.
