Its time for another installment of beauty hack, and this time we are going to be dealing with the difficulty of getting the right shade of foundation.
Quite a good number of us still find it difficult and frustrating getting the perfect shade of foundation; well don't give up yet if you are about to, cause I've been there but now I have gotten the right shade of foundation and powder to compliment my skin tone and I am here to help you achieve that goal too.
First of, you have to be aware that applying foundation is not for you to end up looking weird cause that is how some people look like afterwards. The point of applying a foundation is to help your skin look better, healthy, and flawless, but it is quite difficult to get it right and it becomes obvious when you have a caked face.
I have run into a good number of young ladies like myself who always find a way to leave me speechless at the horrid appearance of their makeup look. Their makeup has either shifted, looking whiter than normal, some even look like it's pancake they rub, or it's either due to fake product use and this leaves me sad.
So I am going to begin from the beginning of how to apply foundation in general, that is identifying your skin type, knowing your undertone, your skin tone, and knowing your desired coverage.

Identifying skin type
Do you have an oily, dry, normal, or sensitive skin? If oily, you need to stay away from oil based foundation, especially cause of our hot and humid weather.
If sensitive, watch out for the ingredient so as to avoid irritation. For dry skin, it's best you exfoliate and moisturize before application. And normal skin, you do not have much problem.
Know your undertone
Don't get confused with what undertone means, I also was in that position. Undertone is what predominates your skin after brown and white, use your wrist and neck to know your undertone. Check your veins if, blue or purple = cool undertone, if greenish yellow = warm undertone, if mix of green, blue, yellow, and purple = neutral undertone.
Know your skin tone
Of course everyone knows their skin tone, either fair, moderately fair, chocolate or dark.
Knowing your desired coverage
You should know the coverage you are looking for, is it matte that is sheer, radiant that is medium or natural. I love the natural coverage and its been wonderful so far.

PS: always moisturise before you begin, and you can use two different shades if you want. And also do not test your foundation on your hand but jaw area because the tone from your hand is different from my your face.
